Petro China Southwest Oil & Gasfield Company, Consulate General of Canada in Chongqing, and SC-EIRI: Tripartite Forum to Seek a New Chapter in Oil Gas Cooperation

On September 12, 2024, Petro China Southwest Oil & Gasfield Company, Consulate General of Canada in Chongqing, and S-EIRI held a tripartite forum at Petro China Southwest Oil & Gasfield Company. Le Hong, Member of the Party Committee of Petro China Southwest Oil & Gasfield Company, Tan Yongshi, Acting Consul General of Consulate General of Canada in Chongqing, representatives of more than 10 Canadian enterprises, Hu Xiaojing, Deputy Director of Sci-tech Innovation Service Center of S-EIRI, Wu Jiang, Director of Oil Gas New Energy Application Institute, Huang Kun, Head of Oil Gas Production Increasing New Technology Institute and other people attended the forum.

At the forum, Le Hong welcomed the visit of the Canadian delegation and S-EIRI, and looked forward to all parties jointly exploring mutual benefits and common development in aspects such as improving the quality and efficiency of exploration and development, promoting storage & production increasing and cost reduction, and new energy. Consulate General of Canada in Chongqing introduced information of Canada's oil industry such as the basic situation, export technology, and investment advantages in Canada. Hu Xiaojing introduced information of S-EIRI such as the establishment background, development achievements, business scope, and cooperation model.


Three parties held in-depth discussions and reached a consensus on cooperation opportunities and challenges in the field of oil gas, hoping to strengthen joint technology research and development in the field of clean energy in the future, and actively explore the application of advanced energy Internet technology to the production process of oil gas fields, in order to improve energy utilization efficiency and reduce carbon emissions, and jointly make new contributions to promote the sustainable development of the energy industry.
