Energy is the foundation for the survival and development of modern society, and energy Internet is the strategic support point for realizing energy revolution. In response to the call of "energy revolution" by President Xi Jinping, Tsinghua University strategically deployed and established Sichuan Energy Internet Research Institute, Tsinghua University (hereinafter refered to as SC-EIRI) in Tianfu New Area, Sichuan Province. As the first cooperative scientific research institution between Tsinghua University and Sichuan Province, SC-EIRI is nurtured by the University's over centenary brilliance and excellence, nourished by the Heavenly Land of Plenty's flourishment and vitality, and gives answers to the energy transition in the new era with unremitting efforts.
Since establishment, SC-EIRI has been adhering to the spirit of "Self-discipline and Social Commitment" of Tsinghua University, gradually established a high-level and international talents team, created a set of sci-tech innovation system of new R&D institutions, built a platform for the transformation of achievements with the integration of government, industry, university and research, and constructed an all-round and deep-level cooperative development platform.
From the initial 3 people to current over 500 talents of various kinds, a group of passionate, ambitious and capable talents have successively joined SC-EIRI's development. We gather here like a trickle, and then flow into the innovation wave of energy Internet. From the initial simple container office on Haichang Road to current office building, scientific research exhibition hall, experimental site and pilot base beside Xinglong Lake, we have introduced high-level scientific research teams, built high-energy experimental platforms, constantly climbed over numerous scientific mountains and tacked numerous difficulties.
Based in Chengdu, we have actively contributed to the development of Sichuan Province in the new era to a new level; Looking across the Country, we have positively supported major national strategies such as Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region, Yangtze River Delta, Greater Bay Area, and Chengdu-Chongqing economic Circle; Facing the world, we have established close cooperation with overseas well-known universities &institutes, leading enterprises and professional institutions.
Higher starting point, greater achievements. With the proposed strategic goals of "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" and "building a new power system with the proportion of new energy gradually increasing", SC-EIRI ushered in a new major development opportunity and has opened a new journey of high-quality and intention development.
