On September 5, 2024, the 3rd China-ROK Energy Storage Industry Exchange Conference was held at SC-EIRI. The conference was jointly organized by ROK ESS Industry Promotion Association, ROK GFEZ Office, and Energy Storage Application Branch of China Industrial Association of Power Sources, and co-undertook by SC-EIRI, HAWAGA Energy Storage Technology (Chengdu) Co., Ltd., Chengdu Wuhou Industrial Park Administrative Committee and Leshan National High-tech Industrial Development Zone Administrative Committee.

Conference Site

The conference aims to build a high-level and high-quality exchange platform to promote in-depth dialogue and cooperation between China and ROK in aspects such as energy storage technology, industrial policy and market application, and jointly enhance the sustainable development of energy storage industry in China and ROK. More than 50 people of energy storage enterprises, industry associations, park administrative committees and investment companies and other institutions from China and ROK attended the conference. The conference was chaired by Chen Yongchong, Director of the Green Energy Storage Institute of SC-EIRI. Ren Zhenbi, Vice President of ROK ESS Industry Promotion Association, Xuan Lianggui, Acting Director of ROK GFEZ Office, Liu Yong, Secretary-General of Energy Storage Application Branch of China Industrial Association of Power Sources, and Lv Lanchun, Dean Assistant of SC-EIRI, successively delivered speeches for the conference.

At the conference, the participating guests respectively made on-site exchanges on agenda items such as the value and practice of new energy storage under multiple scenarios, ROK battery identification system, and cooperation suggestion of China-ROK energy storage demonstration zone.

The industrial development of energy storage in China and ROK cannot be without the close cooperation in aspects such as international market, capital and technology. The cooperation between China and ROK in the energy storage industry highlights the complementary advantages and mutual benefits of China and ROK, and conforms the fundamental and long-term interests of two peoples of China and ROK. Upon exchanges at the conference, parties of China and ROK agreed to build and improve multi-dimension cooperation between energy storage enterprises of China and ROK in aspects such as information sharing, personnel exchanges, technical innovation, product procurement, investment & trade, international channel & market development and energy storage projects.
