The center is committed to the research and application of key technologies for high-quality and sustainable development of green hydrogen industry, focusing on key orientations such as the development of electrochemical energy materials & devices, hydrogen energy system conversion, development of multi-energy terminal IOT technology and green hydrogen technology & application, conducting key technical research & services centering on the development & application of materials, devices, systems and engineering of the coupling between renewable energy and hydrogen energy, and promoting the deep coupling and sustainable development of renewable energy and hydrogen energy

Hydrogen Energy System and Conversion Institute

The institute is committed to realizing the chemical storage and efficient utilization of hydrogen, and has developed a new type of solid oxide membrane reactor and high-temperature electrochemical methane/methanol production process. Moreover, the Center has a full set of capabilities of cell preparation, electric stack development, prototype development, system evaluation and production.

Research Institute of Green Hydrogen Technology and Economics

Facing the urgent needs of supporting "carbon peaking & carbon neutrality" goals and building a new power system, the Institute conducts research on key technologies such as project planning, development design and application promotion of green hydrogen technology application, enhances the application of green hydrogen technology in innovative scenarios such as chemical industry, transportation and steel, and boosts the application and promotion of domestic representative green hydrogen demonstration projects.

Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Technology


  • New off-grid power generation/chemical energy storage units applying hydrogen, methanol, liquid ammonia or other solid ammonium salts as raw materials

  • Can be used as a 50-200 W DC power supply, and meantime for electrolytic hydrogen production chemical energy storage applications

  • With features of compact, mute, efficient, reversible operation, easy function extension and easy maintenance

  • With a wide range of applications, including field pipeline protection, monitoring station power supply and unmanned vehicle power supply

  • Having the ability to make integrated and whole-process planning of "source, grid, load, storage and hydrogen", in order to promote the sustainable development of large-scale green hydrogen projects
