Laboratory of Smart City Energy System

The Laboratory takes "source-grid-load-storage-carbon" as the basic elements, and builds an innovative experiment platform of basic research and applied research focusing on park city carbon peaking & carbon neutrality strategy and new power system construction needs. The Laboratory conducts innovative researches upon three orientations of "Energy System Planning and Operation Key Technologies of High-quality and High-efficiency Cities (energy flow)", "Carbon Metering in Power System Based on Carbon Emission Flow Theory (carbon flow)" and "City Energy Digital Intelligent Application (Information flow)", supports the building and refining of core technologies and key products of S-EIRI, and provides public scientific services to relevant research groups inside and outside SC-EIRI.

Core capabilities

With the overall establishment of "source-grid-load-storage-carbon" as the guiding ideology, Smart City Energy System Laboratory takes the research and tackling of key technologies of new power system under the carbon peaking & carbon neutrality goals, focuses on the characteristics of smart city energy system, and conducts the following researches:

    research on energy system planning and operation technology of high-quality & high-efficiency cities, including the R&D of new energy complex equipment and system;
