S-EIRI Released the Top Ten Innovative Achievements In 2024
On March 29, 2025, the "2025 the Eighth Tsinghua-Sichuan Sci-Tech Achievement Matchmaking Conference— 'Sci-Tech Innovative Tianfu & Intelligence Gathering Chengdu' Sci-Tech Achievement Matchmaking and Application Scenario Releasing Event" was successfully held by Xinglong Lake in Sichuan Tianfu New Area. It's guided by the Talent Work Leading Group Office of CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and the Science & Technology Department of Sichuan Province, hosted by the Science & Technology Bureau of Chengdu Municipality, Sichuan Tianfu New Area Administrative Committee, and the Office of Domestic Cooperation of Tsinghua University, and undertaken by Sichuan Energy Internet Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as S-EIRI), the Science & Technology Bureau of Sichuan Tianfu New Area, Tianfu Qingyuan Holdings Co., Ltd., Chengdu Productivity Promotion Center and National Southwestern Tech-Transfer Center.
Opening Ceremony of the Event
The event aims to comprehensively deepen the cooperation between Sichuan Province and Tsinghua University and accelerate the transfer and transformation of major sci-tech achievements of Tsinghua University in Sichuan Province. Lu Songming, Party Secretary and Director of the Science & Technology Department of Sichuan Province; Guo Yong, Deputy Party Secretary of Tsinghua University; Xu Xingguo, Party Leadership Group Member and Deputy Mayor of the People's Government of Chengdu Municipality; Chen Lizhang, Deputy Party Secretary and Director of Sichuan Tianfu New Area Administrative Committee; Chen Yongcan, Professor of Tsinghua University and former Party Secretary of Southwest Petroleum University; Mou Jun, Party Committee Member and Deputy Chairman of Sichuan Energy Development Group; Ding Xiaobin, Party Secretary and Director of the Science & Technology Bureau of Chengdu Municipality; Fu Xudong, Party Secretary of the School of Civil Engineering of Tsinghua University; Pan Yong, Deputy Party Secretary of Sichuan Tianfu New Area, and other leaders and guests attended the event. Nearly 400 people from relevant fields, such as heads of government institutions at provincial, municipal and city/prefecture levels, and representatives of Tsinghua University, Tsinghua Alumni Association, universities & research institutions in Sichuan Province, project roadshow enterprises & leading enterprises, investment & financing institutions, and news media, gathered to jointly discuss the new paths for the integrated development of sci-tech innovation and industrial innovation. Moreover, nearly 6,000 people watched the event online through video and picture live broadcast.
Driven by Innovation—Multiple Parties Discussing Innovation Ecosystem and Open Scenarios Empowering Achievement Transformation
At the opening ceremony, Guo Yong, Mou Jun, Xu Xingguo and Lu Songming successively delivered speeches for the event. Guo Yong emphasized in his speech that the strategic cooperation between Tsinghua University and Sichuan Province demonstrated the deep integration of Tsinghua spirit of "Self-discipline" and Bashu temperament of "openness & inclusiveness". Tsinghua University would further give play to its comprehensive advantages, enrich cooperation forms, deepen cooperation level, and effectively serve the high-quality economic and social development of Sichuan Province with more high-quality cooperation achievements.

Mou Jun introduced in his speech the cooperation achievements between Sichuan Energy Development Group and Tsinghua University in fields such as sci-tech tackling, platform building and industry-university-research integration. He pointed out that Sichuan Energy Development Group, with more practical measures and greater efforts, would promote the deep matchmaking between the innovative resources of Tsinghua University and the industrial demands of Sichuan Province, and make newer and greater contributions in cultivating new quality productivity and serving China's sci-tech self-improvement.

Xu Xingguo introduced in his speech the basic situation of sci-tech innovation and emerging industry development in Chengdu. He reviewed the cooperation achievements between Chengdu and Tsinghua University. He also expected to strengthen practical and friendly cooperation with Tsinghua University, gather the joint efforts of sci-tech innovation and sci-tech achievement transformation, promote more high-level innovation platforms settle in Chengdu, enhance more sci-tech achievements transformed in Chengdu, and push the cooperation between Chengdu and Tsinghua University develop to a new level.

Lu Songming pointed out in his speech that Sichuan Province had carried out a series of fruitful sci-tech innovative cooperation with Tsinghua University, which had brought in rich achievements, and effectively enhanced Sichuan's status and influence in China's sci-tech innovation stage. The Science & Technology Department of Sichuan Province would continuously deepen its sci-tech innovative cooperation with Tsinghua University, enhance the efforts of joint tackling and achievement transformation, and provide stronger supports for the industrial upgrading and high-quality development in Sichuan Province.

On behalf of Sichuan Tianfu New Area, Pan Yong made a promotion on the ecological environment for achievement transformation in Tianfu New Area. He gave a detailed introduction to the solid measures by Tianfu New Area in gathering sci-tech resources, strengthening sci-tech serving functions, deepening sci-tech and industry integration, enhancing policy empowering, and promoting "park building" develop to "park prospering". He invited all participating guests to have business and cooperation in Tianfu New Area, the energetic land for innovation and entrepreneurship, to achieve joints goals and mutual success.
Promotion on the Ecological Environment for Achievement Transformation by Pan Yong
Heads from the Science & Technology Bureau of Chengdu Municipality, relevant districts (cities) and counties, and industrial parks had face-to-face exchanges with the heads of over 40 roadshow enterprises and sci-tech innovation enterprises, which aimed to help high-quality industrial projects settle in Chengdu through dialogues of "identifying demands + solving difficulties". Meanwhile, during the event, over 150 items of Chengdu's application scenario opportunity list (demand list) were "released with one click" in electronic form, accelerating the transformation of application scenarios into industrial prospects.

Application of Achievements—Dual Driving Forces of Inaugurating & Contract Signing, and Major Achievements Being Simultaneously Released
In order to actively implement Chengdu's actions of "optimizing & improving quality, building parks with characteristics, empowering & enhancing efficiency, and making parks prosperous", the "Government-Industry-Research Collaborative Achievement Transformation Base", built by S-EIRI, together with Sichuan Tianfu New Area and upstream & and downstream enterprises of energy internet industry chain, was officially Inaugurated. The base will accelerate industrial agglomeration through technological collaboration and scenario joint construction, and drive the high-quality development of relevant industrial chains and industrial parks in Tianfu New Area.

In order to promote the precise matchmaking between Tsinghua University achievements and various cities (prefectures) & leading enterprises in Sichuan Province, S-EIRI has respectively signed cooperation agreements with LongShine Technology Group Co., Ltd., Tianfu Qingyuan Holdings Co., Ltd., China Huadian Corporation Sichuan Company and Tongyu Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. It has also signed cooperation agreements with the School of Civil Engineering and the Department of Chemical Engineering of Tsinghua University to further enhance industry-university-research collaborative potential across disciplines and fields.

At the conference, focusing on four major innovative scenarios of renewable energy power generation, new energy storage, intelligent grid key equipment, and energy crossing & blending, S-EIRI released the top ten innovative achievements in 2024 though video, further deepening innovative practices and leading green development.

Moreover, more than 120 innovative achievements from the schools & departments of Tsinghua University as well as S-EIRI were released to public through project manuals and display boards. These achievements cover multiple emerging fields such as new energy & intelligent vehicles, intelligent manufacturing & automation and artificial intelligence.
Insights into the Future—Top Experts Predicting the Trends and Technology Foresight Guiding the Direction
During the keynote speech session, several experts gave thematic sharing based on their respective research fields in order to provide forward-looking thinking for industrial upgrading, such as Jin Feng, Chairman of the Academic Committee of the Department of Hydraulic Engineering of Tsinghua University and Distinguished Professor of Changjiang Scholars Program; Cao Junzheng, Chief Expert in Flexible DC at the Central Research Institute of TBEA Co., Ltd.; Chen Xuesong, Vice President of Beijing Zhipu Huazhang Technology Co., Ltd.; and Lan Xudong, Research Fellow at the School of Aerospace Engineering of Tsinghua University and Deputy Director of the Aero-Engine Research Center of Tsinghua University.
In the speech "Rockfill Concrete High Dam Construction and Digital & Intelligent Construction Conception", Jin Feng, combining key sci-tech issues in high dam construction, gave a detailed explanation of the theory, technology and application situation of rockfill concrete high dam construction which was originally created by his team, and then made a summary and display of some typical projects already completed and under construction.

In the speech of "A Summary of TBEA-Tsinghua Cooperation and an Overview of Electrical Equipment Industry Development", Cao Junzheng introduced the cooperation situation between TBEA Co., Ltd. and Tsinghua University and the going-global strategy of manufacturing service industry. He made a highlighted sharing of TBEA's innovative achievements in high-end equipment of power generation, transmission, distribution and energy storage, as well as in the field of power system integrated design.

In the speech of "Exploration and Practice of Large Language Model Application", Chen Xuesong introduced the development situation of CogView large language model. The technology had been applied in fields such as government affairs, culture & tourism, education, and office work. It supports multimodal understanding and real-time reasoning. In the future, Zhipu would explore the development path from "digitalization" to "agentization", in order to promote the transformation of artificial intelligence from a tool to an intelligent agent, and contribute to the intelligent upgrading in multiple fields.

In the speech of "Low-altitude Economy—A New Economic Structure of New-quality Productivity", Lan Xudong put forward that new-quality productivity was characterized by electrification, intelligentization, unmanned operation, and datafication. Low-altitude economy, as an important form of new-quality productivity, is a new economic model covering multiple fields such as common aviation, low-altitude tourism, emergency rescue, logistics distribution and aviation sports.

Precise Matchmaking—Roadshow Salon Under Heated Participation, and Capital & Technology Joining for Mutual Goals
As the core carrier of the matchmaking conference, the "Sci-Tech Innovative Tianfu & Intelligence Gathering Chengdu" innovative project supply-demand matchmaking salon was held in the afternoon in order to "find markets for technologies and find projects for funds". The salon has created a communication platform integrating sci-tech achievement display, roadshow and matchmaking.
Roadshow Sites
The roadshow had two sites of "Roadshow of Energy Sci-Tech Innovation Achievements" and "Roadshow of Diverse Sci-Tech Innovation Achievements", gathering over 30 innovative projects with distinct features and broad prospects, and attracting over 20 well-known investment institutions to conduct deep matchmaking. "Roadshow of Energy Sci-Tech Innovation Achievements" highlighted the breakthrough progress in key energy fields such as intelligent grids and green hydrogen production. "Roadshow of Diverse Sci-Tech Innovation Achievements" focused on emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, big health and new materials, displaying the new-quality productivity generated by discipline crossing and blending.
